Office Aide

Under the supervision of the Regional Administrative Assistant 2, the selected candidate will provide office and clerical assistance to the Regional Administrative Office for Allegany Region. This primarily includes answering phones, responding to inquiries and providing basic common information to various parties regarding regional activities, park rules, procedures, and answering other common knowledge questions; develop reference materials as directed and keep all information up to date; make copies and organize documents as directed; act as physical point of contact for visitors to the Administrative Offices; manage and update various records and documents by filing, and maintaining existing filing systems, or developing new filing systems as needed; draft and distribute meeting minutes; maintain directories, departmental organizational charts, radio call lists, vehicle use passes, and other records/programs as assigned; maintain basic accounting records of financial transactions, including spreadsheets, receipt processing, and reconciling purchases using designated applications (Budgeting Expenditure Tracking System & Statewide Financial System), and execute purchases as needed following all applicable NYS and OPRHP purchasing guidelines; act as point of contact for employee use of the administrative pool vehicle fleet and track use and availability of all vehicles in the pool; will also handle incoming pool vehicle reservations, tracking of maintenance intervals & scheduling service with regional garage, inspections of pool vehicles after use for cleanliness / damage / fuel level; in the absence of the Mail Clerk will be responsible for all daily mail tasks including mail pickup from the U.S. post office, sorting, and preparing outgoing mail for pickup by U.S. mail carrier; assist with special projects as requested.

Salary Range:
From $16.13 to $16.13 Hourly
Minimum Qualification
No minimum qualifications per Civil Service.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
