Trades Generalist
Under the direction of the Regional Maintenance Supervisor or designee, the incumbent will be assigned to the Regional Carpenter Crew. The incumbent will be required to plan and lay-out projects, including preparing materials list and placing orders in compliance with NYS purchasing guidelines, performing journey level masonry and plaster work on a variety of structures utilizing materials such as brick, stone, concrete, and plaster. The incumbent will be required to design, construct, and assemble forms for concrete footers, piers, foundations, sidewalks, drainage structures, stairs, etc. Additionally, the incumbent must perform routine preventative maintenance on all assigned hand and power tools to ensure they are in good working order and in compliance with all applicable codes. The incumbent will assist the Regional Carpentry Crew with supporting basic carpentry tasks. The incumbent will be expected to maintain daily activity reports, along with other required written records.

From $44354 to $54140 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Four years of full-time experience in masonry under a skilled tradesperson which would provide training equivalent to that given in a training, apprenticeship, or equivalent program; or an equivalent combination of experience and training gained by completion of technical courses in skilled trades at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services. When required to operate motor vehicles, candidates must possess a valid New York State driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
