The selected candidate will work for the Regional Natural Resources Department under the direction of the Forester II. The incumbent will be required to operate and maintain chainsaws, perform basic tree felling and bucking procedures, and assist with the Risk Tree Assessment Program. The incumbent will be expected to work cooperatively and in a professional manner with co-workers and the public in matters involving Environmental Stewardship projects and topics throughout the Allegany Region, including, but not limited to:
nuisance wildlife control (monitoring, aversive conditioning, reporting, giving presentations to staff and patrons); forest health monitoring; assist with invasive species management; assist with regional trail maintenance; operate equipment (tractor, boat, ATV, UTV, snowmobile, brush cutter, etc.; perform routine maintenance on a variety of mechanical equipment, etc.

Salary Range:
From $15.26 to $15.26 Hourly
Minimum Qualification
o Candidates must possess and maintain a valid NYS driver's license as a term and condition of employment. o Normal work shift will be 7:
30 a.m. to 4:
00 p.m., but will include early morning and evening shifts. o Normal work schedule will be weekdays but will include weekends and holidays as needed. o The selected candidate must be physically able to perform medium to heavy physical labor in a variety of weather conditions and terrain. o Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills. o The selected candidate will be expected to create weekly reports and memos, be able to answer general inquiries from park patrons and/or other Park employees, and perform effective presentations regarding Environmental Stewardship projects and topics. o The selected candidate will be required to perform basic land navigation skill which includes reading topographic maps and GPS handheld devices. o The selected candidate will receive First Aid/CPR training, Game of Logging training, firearms training, and will be offered a rabies vaccine for handling wildlife. o Must have good communication/patron service skills and will be required to obtain and maintain records in an orderly fashion. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in handling firearms.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
